Bio

Craving Strange is an Alternative Hard Pop Rock band in a new age of independent musicians. They are hungry, dedicated, and organized.

Singer/guitarist Jimmy G from Indiana lives in his van and spends his days writing songs and staring at a laptop figuring out how to best manage, market, and promote his band. Drummer Jimi Tassone engineered and produced their debut album ‘Savior Self’ and handles all recordings, production, and artwork. Tommy Balls is a bass virtuoso as well as the artist who designs and manages all the merchandise (t-shirts, logos, stickers, etc.) And lead guitarist Frank Guertin is in charge of all booking, setting up tours, benefits, etc, as well as all video and video editing projects for the band.

With a style and sound like the Foo Fighters, Buckcherry, and My Chemical Romance in a game of twister, Craving Strange combinds personal and musical backgrounds in metal, pop, rock, and alternative to create music that is intense, fun, diverse, and infectious at the same time.  The songs are filled with great musicianship, instant hooks, catchy choruses, and driving rhythms, while lyrically being honest, thought provoking and emotional. The band manages to sound fresh and yet familiar without resorting to tired clichés.

Their live shows have captivated a variety of different audiences throughout the east coast, earning the band a reputation as a must see attraction. Giving every ounce of energy whether in front of 10 people or 1,000 has earned the band a growing legion of dedicated fans that scream, shout, cry, and sing along turning every show into a memorable and exciting experience. Getting to know these fans and letting them know the personalities of the band through e-mail’s blogs, and youtube videos as well as at the shows has made these fans into an army.

Craving Strange has performed clubs and venues all over the Northeast and Midwest. With 3 home recorded promotional Ep’s getting rave reviews the band recorded, produced, and released the full length album ‘Savior Self’ in the summer of 09. With digital distribution through CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon among others and a growing list of independent radio and podcasts supporting the album the band is developing a “global presence” that is growing every day.
